Ten ways into China
China destinations: start with the city that sparks your curiosity
China rarely fits into a single postcard. These ten cities offer distinct first encounters: imperial avenues, mountain lanes, tea country, karst rivers, restless technology and food worth crossing town for. Use this guide to find your natural starting point, then connect two or three places at a pace that leaves room for surprise and time to notice everyday life unfolding.

Half-day experiences use 1 unit; full-day experiences use 2 units and fill one hosted day. Multi-city journeys use a custom proposal without a displayed per-person total.
